PAULA says: About Thursday’s Special: It is a ‘NON-CHALLENGE’ challenge that appeals to bloggers eager to wake up their creativity and show their own ideas and interpretation of the world. There are no themes, titles and techniques set for your expression, there are no limits and restrictions; no red tape whatsoever.
CEE says: This current series is all about our glorious mother earth and nature. I hope you have a lot of fun finding leaves and trees for this week.
The first photo was taken with my old iPhone3s a couple of years ago ergo the poor quality. The rest of the pictures were taken using my iPhone5.
I’m guessing that this tree could be 200 to 300 years old. I say that by comparing it to a similar tree that is known to be 350 years old.
A close-up of one of the old tree’s branches.
An old tree’s branches at Lake Eola in Orlando, FL.
Growth along the West Orange Trail (biking/hiking) in Winter Garden, FL.

Thank you so much, dear Doda! Today’s technology just boggles the mind! And I love it! 😆
What you talkin’ about poor quality!? The first one’s the best one… one of your bests. Love the grandeur of it which you captured perfectly, love the angle, and I love the composition even with the shadows.
Really! Oh, my! I just thought it looked a bit faded. Old camera phone and all. I am so glad you liked it and commented. I just love these old majestic trees! Thanks, Rommel! 🙂
I love them, love them, especially the close up 🙂 Thank you very much Linda for this wonderful entry 🙂 🙂
Thanks, Paula! Thanks for hosting the fun challenge! 😀

They truly are majestic and regal such old trees..they have given the earth so much and have stood against all weather …we could learn a lot from such majesty when we stand before it…I always have to hug and touch trees…they help connect you back to what is real 🙂 Fozziemum x

Thanks, Cee! 🙂
What a difference between the iPhone3s and iPhone5 color quality! Gorgeous photos all! FL does have some great jungle-like trees and foliage. Overall, this post brought back some good memories – I’ve lived in Clearwater and Orange City and visited many other parts of FL : )
It is a big difference! And I’m already wondering what the quality will be in another year or so! LOL! I love Florida and haven’t even seen all that much of it! 🙂
These are cell phone pics?! Amazing clarity and balance.
They are, indeed, Koji! The first was taken with my old iPhone3g and the others with my iPhone5! 🙂
