Nancy Merrill says: This week is all about the weather where you live.
I took this yesterday on my new iPhone 8 Plus! We were coming home from the vet’s office. I don’t know that I have ever seen such a brilliant rainbow — and a double one at that. I’m afraid the photo does not do it justice! We’ve been having so much rain now that the temps have gone up some but yesterday the sun came out and voila!
I just love this big old pine tree next to the driveway — oh, wait, what driveway??
Another side view of no driveway. See that snow blob on the left? That’s some sort of evergreen tree that usually stands about 12-14 feet high. Today it’s hung over with the weight of the world. You can see the small picture below taken almost two years ago. Not to worry, though, hubby went out and knocked the snow off and it’s beginning to straighten up again.
When I was taking the picture of this tree in the back (I call it a snowball tree), one of the birds must have landed on one of the branches because all of a sudden there was an “avalanche” of snow!
We’re keeping these little guys fed as best we can.
Gas logs for heat when the power goes out.
Well, this isn’t exactly how I had planned on spending the weekend! We can’t get out and no one can get in. Even the post office and deliveries wouldn’t come up the driveway. Of course, it makes it harder when you can’t even tell there is a driveway under there somewhere. Hopefully, most of this will be gone by Monday! Here’s another great reason why food and water storage are so important!
