This sculpture is titled “Centered” by CJ Rench, located at Lake Eola, Orlando, Florida. It makes me think of two hands holding up something in the center.

Last Monday when temperatures got back into the 70s, I went downtown (Orlando) to once again visit Lake Eola Park. It had rained in the morning but had stopped before noon. The day was clear but completely overcast. I took lots of photos (too many to post here) in spite of the weather. My favorite is the very last one!
From the City of Orlando website: Lake Eola Park is a popular destination in the Downtown Orlando area. The sidewalk that circles the lake is .9 miles in length. Other activities available to park visitors include renting swan-shaped paddle boats or electric gondola boats, feeding the live swans and other birds inhabiting the park, seeing a concert or a play in the Walt Disney Amphitheater, grabbing a bite to eat at Relax Grill on Lake Eola or relaxing amid beautiful flower beds and a spectacular view of Orlando’s skyline. The iconic water feature is is the unofficial symbol of Orlando.
The main offices of the law firm I used to work for are just across the street from the Park. I spent many a lunch hour walking around the lake enjoying the ducks, geese and swans. I would spend some time on one of the benches reading a book and basking in the sun. I must say it was the best part of my work day!

Crossing the street from the office, one enters the Park and begins the walk around. The first thing I noticed was that most of the ducks and swans were out of the water. I had hoped to find a bunch of them in the water but it was not to be on this particularly overcast day. On my left are a number of swans not swimming!
Looking to my right I can see all around and across the Lake. Besides a number of large and small office buildings, there are numerous high rise condominiums. Looking northwest (at least I think it’s nw!) as in the next photo you see mostly office buildings. In the Lake photos you can see the large turquoise fountain and further back you can see the back of the Amphitheatre. I too quite a few photos of ducks and squirrels and landscaping and I’m sure I’ll be using them down the road in other posts!
Moving further around the Lake, past the Relax Grill and the Amphitheatre, is where they rent the pedal swans and the gondolas. The day I was there, there were only a couple of the swans out on the Lake. Looking across the Lake to the west, most of those buildings in view are residential condos.
When I was about 3/4 of the way around the Lake, I saw this sculpture that had been added.

Coming up on almost the .9 mile mark of my walk is this pagoda. In the past, I have seen it used as background in a lot of photo shoots for various advertisements or engagement or wedding photos.
And now I have come full circle. Here is where I ran into, well, you can see for yourself. I’m pretty sure he thought I was getting ready to offer him something to eat and when I didn’t offer, he was going to settle for my iPhone!
