Pink Squares in September

This is my first time participating in Becky’s challenge on THE LIFE OF B. Click HERE for more information.  For September the theme is Pink Squares! She hosts a month long challenge with a topic. You can join in daily for the whole month, or pop in and out. Whatever suits you, your blog and your circumstances. Just remember the only rule is that your photograph must be square in shape!

Yay! They’ve arrived!

I’m also linking this up with Comedy Plus’ HAPPY TUESDAY!

A little while back Janet and Kitties Blue over at The Cat on My Head pulled my name in a random drawing and I won a pair of custom-made cat socks from OurSock.com.  They have arrived and they are marvelous! They feel silky to the touch! I had a really tough time trying to decide which of our seven kitties would be chosen to grace my new custom socks. Well, I couldn’t have picked anyone but my dear sweet Midge for this as she is my oldest and first kitty.  Here is the photo I chose to send:

And I am so pleased and excited to share the beautiful finished product:

And here we have a view of the back side and the front side:

Feline Friday and Caturday Art – Midge

Midge is my sweet model this week.  She just turned 17 this past June. First remaining kitty I ever had the pleasure of caring for.  She was about four weeks old when we took in her and her two siblings to bottle feed.  And after a couple of weeks, the rest, as they say, is history! 😀

This week’s “artwork” was created using Color Fantasy in Fotor GoArt and framed with Fantasy in Pho.to.

And for FELINE FRIDAY, following is the original used for these challenges!

WHEN GOD CREATED KITTY CATS

When God created kitty cats,
He had no recipe;
He knew He wanted something sweet,
As sweet as sweet could be.

He started out with sugar,
Adding just a trace of spice;
Then stirred in drops of morning dew,
To keep them fresh and nice.

He thought cats should be soft to pet,
Thus He gave them coats of fur;
So they could show they were content,
He taught them how to purr.

He made for them long tails to wave,
While strutting down the walk;
Then trained them in meow-ology,
So they could do cat-talk.

He made them into acrobats,
And gave them grace and poise;
Their wide-eyed curiosity,
He took from little boys.

He put whiskers on their faces,
Gave them tiny ears for caps;
Then shaped their little bodies,
To snugly fit on laps.

He gave them eyes as big as saucers,
To look into man’s soul;
Then set a tolerance for mankind,
As their purpose and their goal.

Benevolent … and … generous,
He made so many of them;
Then charged, with Fatherly Concern,
The human race to love them.

When one jumped up upon His lap,
God gently stroked its head;
The cat gave Him a kitty kiss,
“What wondrous love,” God said.

God smiled at His accomplishment,
So pleased with His creation;
And said, with pride, as He sat back,
“At last. . .I’ve reached purr-fection!”
