I know it’s supposed speak for itself but I have to just tell you that this little video does not do the noise or the number of crows justice! This is what woke me up this morning and none of our windows were open. It’s crows — do they call them a congress of crows? It fits cause they were all pitching a fit over seemingly nothing and getting nothing done except irritating those around them.
We here them here too. They do make lots of noise. π
I knew they could be noisy but I’ve never been woke up like this before! LOL!
I love when they are all talking to one another π
I think I missed the loudest part of it. By the time I got up and outside, even though it was still loud, it had died down somewhat! I would have enjoyed it more if that was not the sound that brought me out of a deep sleep! LOL! π
Very atmospheric, trees can be really spooky, especially at dusk with the wind soughing through them, rattling branches. I wish we had a rookery near us.
Thanks, Christine! I know what you mean. This is our side yard! I might have enjoyed it more if it had not been dawn and the noise brought me out of a sound sleep! LOL! It’s late in the season but some of the trees appear to finally be starting to get some leaves just budding. They’re usually more filled in by now. π
Our trees are late too, sometimes I hear pigeons or magpies in them even through our double glazing and the blackbirds start singing early.
It sounds like they have called for a national crow conference!
They must have! I donβt ever remember seeing or hearing so many crows (or birds for that matter) at one time. All I could think of was Alfred Hitchcock! Of course, Iβve never lived surrounded by trees before! π
Excellent.
Thanks, rabirius! Have a wonderful weekend! π
a real murder
of crows π
Indeed! Theyβve been at it again this morning but Iβm starting to get used to it! π
I believe the correct term is a “murder of crows”. I’m glad you survived to tell the tale.
Thought about making it a murder of crows for waking me so rudely, but I could never harm an animal! Especially when they’re just doing their thing! Sigh! π
LoL … around here, our Canadian prairie crows are
so hardy that they just keep crowing all winter long!
Finally now after a long winter with plenty to crow about,
sweet tweets of other birds are joining in! π Jackie@KWH
Well, thank goodness for small favors that the crows around here get in then get out! π I donβt believe Iβd care to have that going year round! ππ
heehee… They seem quieter in winter, ‘though that may be due to our windows being frozen shut π π Jackie@KWH
oh yes!! and then when they are feeding their babies- who always sound like they are being strangled!
I, for one, am hoping that they have moved on to new territory. Haven’t heard them recently. And I really don’t want to hear them feeding their babies then! LOL!
