Here we have Midge (age 17) on top and Inky below. We had to take Midge to another vet on Thursday. She’s been limping on her rear left “ankle.” We originally took her to an alternative vet who provided some Chinese herb liquid. It seemed to be helping initially, then her limp became worse. So we went to another vet since the first vet was out of town. We were supposed to get the radiologist report back Friday but they never called. The vet is hoping it’s just arthritis (best case) but is afraid the mass might be cancer (worst case). Please pray for this little baby. She’s the first kitty I’ve ever had in my life. I’m praying it’s arthritis because we can treat that. Thanks.
Obviously, Midge is better at selfies than Inky is! 😉
❤
👌💕🤗
We will be purring and praying for Midge, and for. good outcome. A lovely view they both have, and Midge clearly knows when to turn and smile at the camera MOL

Thanks so much. All prayers are greatly appreciated. I keep trying to find your new (current) blog but everything links to your blog from 2016.
I will pray for dear Midge and Mr. M will also be doing purrayer therapy for her.
Thanks, Jeanne! I really appreciate it! 😻
Both kitties are adorable. I will add Midge to my prayer list.
Thanks so much Ellen! Have a beautiful Sunday!
Prayers in progress, Linda. They are indeed such precious gifts and we hate to see them suffer in any way. Both are adorable. Thanks for joining in on Feline Friday.
Have a purrfect day you two. My best to your wonderful mom. ♥
So true, Sandee. I could never allow any of my furrbabies to suffer. I remain optimistic! Big hugs and wishes for a beautiful Sunday! 🤗😻
She’s lived a full life, and hopefully she will continue to be part of your family. What a precious nose she has.
That she has, Sally! Seventeen years is a good time for a cat. I’m praying that it’s something treatable because otherwise she’s healthy. 🤗😻
I hope the report comes back good and it is treatable arthritis.
Thanks so much. We should learn something tomorrow! 😻💕
pawesome photo! Sending purrs and prayers, my Angel Bobo was my first kitty and I had him til he was 18, so I TOTALLY understand (((hugs))))
Thanks, Caren. I know that you and so many others can relate. It doesn’t matter how many pets we have, it never gets any easier. Hugs 🤗😻
Sending big cuddles and snuggles to Midge whilst hoping for the best❣️

Thanks, me darlings! I hope to post an update tomorrow! Hugs 🤗💕
[…] Update on Midge: I want to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes. It has worked! The doctor said the x-ray report from the radiologist shows no mass and nothing broken. Apparently, she has somehow received a soft tissue injury or perhaps a torn ligament. We are proceeding with a course of additional anti-inflammatory pills and adding some antibiotic. I ask for continued prayers that she will heal quickly. She is only 6.5 pounds and it breaks my heart to see her limping around. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you can read the initial story HERE. […]
S sorry we hadn’t gotten here yet from, Sunday. We just got your post about Midge’s vet visit. So happy it wasn’t bad news. Looks as if Inky is allergic to selfies. Thanks for hopping with us. Hey, no problem! Love your visits and your blog! We’re crossing our fingers that the anti-inflammatory and antibiotics relieve Midge’s pain and her limp! Inky wouldn’t turn around for love or money! Oh, maybe I should have tried treats! LOL!
Awww … I missed this story about Midge. I’m so sorry she’s not feeling well, Linda.
She seems so happy up on the high perch. I know animals/pets are like humans. They get
a lot of the same ailments that we get. My marshmellow was 28 when he passed a few years ago.
The vet had said he was a miracle cat. He had never had one in his care of that age. Marshmallow
eventually died of old age but just before he did he had a limp. When we took him to the vet he said his hips were starting to misalign from wear. We believe that was his downfall. I hope Midge gets some relief and is back to her playful slef real soon.
Isadora 😎
Thanks for your sweet words, Isadora. Wow, Marshmallow (cute name) was definitely a miracle living to the age of 28. That’s got to be some sort of record! I think the oldest I’ve heard is 23! We’re praying her little leg heals up and won’t be a chronic condition. Time will tell! Hugs! 😀
We named him Marshmellow because he was totally fluffy white with big yellowish green colored eyes. He was rescued by my daughter. He was being abused. They had chopped off his tail. The kids ran, never to be found again. The vet wanted names to report them but we couldn’t find them. He was very loved our vet said plus he was thanking us for saving him by lingering that long. Believe me when I say his hair was very, very thin the more he aged.
I’ll pray for Midge to get better real soon. 🙏
MIdge looks pretty spry for being 17 as she looks down on everyone. I’m glad it wasn’t anything long-term.
Thanks! She was pretty unstoppable until she hurt her leg. She always loved the high spots! We’re hoping she heals quickly! 😻
Best!
Thanks, Resa! Have a beautiful week! 😀
