Flowers

First, let me wish everyone a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I’m linking this to Cee’s Flower of the Day!

I’m really feeling the end of spring and summer and the arrival of winter. I know and expect the seasons to change. Why, the changing seasons is the one thing I kept saying I missed the whole time I lived in Florida. Now, springtime was amazing here. Summer was fantastic here. Even Fall was beautiful — even though I knew what it was ushering in! And now they’ve disappeared.  So, now that Christmas is over, bring on the Spring and Summer! But since I must be patient, I’m posting some of the flowers we have enjoyed at our new home over the past spring and summer seasons.

Although we haven’t yet gotten into the really cold and snowy days yet (coming soon, I’m sure), all the plants and trees around me are dormant (look dead) and I really miss the beauty (and the warmth) of spring, summer, and fall. So, to bring a little sunshine into this new year, I’m posting a bunch of the flowers we discovered here at our new house this past year. I have no idea what most of them are called. If anyone feels so inclined to enlighten me, please feel free to do so! 🙂

  1. how wonderful to hear from you again!! I was searching for your email to send you a message, hoping all was well. But since I switched my pc over I wasn’t able to find it. Happy New Year!!! Yes we are looking forward to more cold here too. We even had a bit of snow. I’ve been neglecting my blog a bit and am behind in all things since I moved!!
Gorgeous flowers. I’m looking forward to Spring too my friend. Many blessings!!!!

    • I was away from this for so long and I missed our connection! I’m so glad to hear and see that you’re getting settled into you new place. Your photos are awesome (nothing new there!). Yes, I am so ready to see the springtime blooming again. Hubby laughs at me because we haven’t even really hit winter yet! But, the Good Lord willin’, and the crik don’t rise, we’ll get there! LOL! Have a blessed New Year! ❤

      • and to you!! by the way, I had my dna analyzed by Ancestry.com! I think that is a site run by your church? Anyway the results were very interesting – some totally unexpected!

        • I think the church acquired Ancestry a while back. I’m glad. It’s because genealogy is such a big part of the gospel. Anyhoo, I’ve thought about doing that but just haven’t. I tried to get my brother to do it as they say (for whatever reason) that it’s better through the paternal line but he wouldn’t. Maybe one of these days I’ll break down and have it done.

        • I just did a post on it! I hope it’s readable lol!

Happy New Year, Linda!! SO good to see you here and thank you for the delightful flowers when none are in evidence here. Sorry but I’m not the one to help you out to ID some of them. Much Love, ❤

    • Thank you so much, AmyRose! It’s good to be back! I’ve missed everyone. My little iPhone5 is wearing out and just does not do justice to the beauty of the flowers. Have a blessed year, my friend! 😀

Happy New Year and so happy to see you again. Hoping all is well and should you be feeling sad about the lack of flowers I could send you some video of snow shovelling. It always amazes me that flowers would ever bloom here again. 🙂
