Fabulous captures and the only time I truly appreciate the spider, when it’s captured on film – or so to speak – technology is really killing some of my sayings, lol! 🙂
Thanks, Joanne! You and me both. I’m not a fan of spiders and, yet, I find them fascinating! I suppose they’re okay as long as I can see them. It’s when they disappear from view that I get nervous! 😆
Wow, that’s excellent, Linda! Serendipitously, I just saw an enormously fat spider just a short while ago outside the kitchen window. Tried to get a couple of photos of it, but it was moving quickly up its web into a spot under the gutter. Haven’t looked yet to see if the photos turned out.
Superb detailed macro photography Linda Dear! You have so competently display the cycle of life!Every living creature merits observation.Doesn’t it ?
Hugs to you my lovely friend 🙂 ❤ xxx
Thanks, dear Doda! I must admit I was a bit nervous as this was my first encounter with a black widow spider! But I suppose she was too busy to pay much attention to me! And, yes, if only all would respect life. Many hugs! 😀 ❤
Wow! 🙂
Thanks, Paula! I was a bit nervous at how close I had to get using my iPhone5! 😀
Hmmm, you spend your time in strange ways. 🙂 The cycle of life, and death goes on.
HaHa! You have no idea! 😉 That was the first time I had ever seen a real live Black Widow spider! 😀

Oh my, you caught such a story with your shots. Well done. Happy Photo Challenge.
Thanks, Sally! I almost hesitated to post these because I know how some people feel about spiders! 😀

They can be such speedy little critters. I think that black widow would have scampered away if she hadn’t been so distracted! 😀
gripping stuff…but beautiful captured! xo Johanna
Thanks, Johanna! Wishing you a beautiful week! 😀
Wow, what a capture, Linda!
Thanks, Amy! 😀
Hmmm……..thanks for sharing this…..I think. 😓
I know, right?! LOL 😆
Creepy but well captured, Linda
Creepy now and creepy then! LOL! 😀
Isn’t it a black widow and her late husband?
Do you think she’s mourning her dearly departed?! LOL! 😆
Ha! I don’t think so 🙂
I remember throwing crickets in spiderwebs just to watch the action.
Spiders are fascinating! 😀
