It’s weird, Linda, but I was thinking about Freckles last night as I played tennis with my husband. My mind was like, “Freckles is such a great name for a pet,” so playful-sounding and mellow. Seems to fit your kitty perfectly! Cute photos as always. Freckles is a star. 🙂

Since Freckles love you and you love him I wouldn’t call it a defect. He just has a unique feature.

Isn’t it just the cutest?! 😀 The toenail (it doesn’t show) does grow so I have to keep it trimmed because it doesn’t get worn down.
Freckles, 20 pounds, huh! Maybe Mom will get off that diet kick for some of us now that she has seen you. Linda, you asked about a catio. Hope it is okay if I reply here. It is a screened in area (patio, deck, porch, balcony, etc.) where the cats can enjoy outside time without having to be supervised. We screened in our lower deck about four years ago for the kitties. You need to use screen that they cannot easily slash through. Ours is fiberglass. Some people use chicken wire or other small mesh wire. As we use our deck for humans as well, we wanted something nicer than a “pen.” Our kitties have beds and a cat tree and food and water and two bird feeders right outside the screen for their entertainment. I actually fudged on the weight — he’s closer to 24! So, you can see that yours aren’t so bad after all! HA! We’re trying to make our enclosed patio/pool area more fun for the cats. We’re starting to add/build things out there for the cat’s entertainment. We have one cat tree and hubby is creating another one (an Ikea hack!). I’m looking at some ball toys, etc. Any suggestions or ideas are welcome! 😀 Thanks, Janet! Hugs!
