This (2014 #12) challenge subject is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, we move from one place to another on. You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride them, as long as the way is visible.
Church Street Station, Orlando, FL

There’s a place I’ve never seen. Great picture.
Thanks, Pam! You’ll have to check it out sometime! 🙂
Lots of which way now in that photo!
I thought the same thing, Sue! 😀
Linda – I am so glad I dropped on by! Gosh – we went to Church street in 1990 as it was getting ready to shut down. There were still things to do – and we also went in 91 and 92 – but don;t recall going after that – but I do know it was not he decline.
and so sad too because at one time this place -church street station was rocking – but I think Disney pulled the business away – or who knows. but I recall actors dressed in clothes from the 1800’s would line the streets – juggling fire was happening and you could here an opera singer in action seeping through the doors of the saloon across the street.
thanks for the flash back and I LOVE the shadow on the street with the bright blue sky – it actually reminds me of how it felt to be there.
peace
It’s pretty sad how it has changed, although it has been quite a few years since I’ve been down there (other than wandering around to take these pictures). I worked right there in the SunTrust tower from 1994-2000. It had some activity, especially on the weekends. But the restaurants and shops would come and go. There was just not enough people or interest to sustain any business downtown. This picture was actually taken on a holiday Monday. I was quite shocked at how empty everything was. Maybe it will change again in time. Seems like all they’re building in that area now are high-rise office buildings and high-rise condos.
I’m glad my photo brought back happy memories for you. Happy days! 😀
well it is just funny how some areas can’t be revived while other areas can be – maybe the big mouse pulls from it – and how cool that you worked at Sun Trust for all those years – I really like downtown Orlando – and thanks again for the flashback ❤
wow Linda beautiful picture, I need to drive down there to see
Thanks, Brenda! Next time I’m heading downtown I’ll let you know. (Just don’t hold your breath cause the last time I was down there was Memorial Day!) 😛
Such a great road for the which way challenge. Thanks for playing 🙂

Aw, we just went back to the car! heehee! Seriously, we just walked around a bit more. Downtown was pretty much deserted on this holiday (US Memorial Day)!
