Wordless Wednesday

I know it says “Wordless” Wednesday but I just wanted to let you know that for what will hopefully be only a short time my posts and my visits to your blogs might be a bit sporadic. But I’ll be thinking of all of you because this blogging has become an addiction — a good one! 😀  We are in the process of working on our house to prepare it for sale. So between working at work and working on the house, things are going to be a bit more hectic than usual! On that note, if anyone is interested in a beautiful home in historic Winter Garden, Florida, just let me know! Once we’re ready to list, I’ll be posting it all on here with pictures, etc.! Now, back to Wordless Wednesday!

Good luck with your preparations Linda. No worries at all if you don’t pop by. I will be rather sporadic in visits myself when we head to Italy in a couple of weeks. Where are you moving to?

    • Can’t wait to follow your Italy visit! We don’t know yet where/when we’ll be moving. We’ve decided it’s probably time to scale down. Gosh, if we cut back, we’d probably be able to start traveling! No diving pool or huge yard to worry about! We’re thinking possibly somewhere around Blairsville, GA (up by the Smoky Mountains). Time will tell and the good Lord willin’! 😀

Good for you to be giving it some thought and getting ready. We downsized 18 months ago and LOVE it. No more big yard to deal with and so easy to go away. Best of luck with the organizing and packing. I know it is a lot of work but so worth it once you have made the move.

  2. Youre a busy girl! Don’t over do it!

ROFLMAO!!! Oh, Linda, we are doing MAJOR repair work on our house and yes mostly hubs is doing the work but I have to stick around to help him when he needs it which seriously is putting a crimp in my photo outings. So, Girl, you aint the only one!!! BIG (((HUGS))) and all the best! Love, Amy

I love cats. Looks like you have your hands full. Want to trade your place for an acre in beautiful Meadview, Arizona? 🙂

All the best with this project, Linda. 🙂

Hi Linda – best wishes prepping the house -yuk! but I know it can be enjoyable too – and just curious – but are you guys leaving Florida – or just downsizing?

    • Yuk is right in my book. But I suppose when the prepping is done, it will be worth it. I’m just glad we’re not pressured and we don’t have to hurry. We definitely want to downsize. I do so love it here but we’re tentatively searching in the Blairsville, GA (Smoky Mtns) area. We like it there but honestly have no idea where we’ll end up! 😀

  11. Hello, Freckles. 🙂 Hope all goes well with your house sale, Linda. I’m also going to be a bit scarce, as we start our travels back to Florida next week, via our daughter in Johannesburg, and my MiL in England. Take care.

  12. My question is, is Freckles helping with the house preparations? 🙂 He’s adorable! Best wishes for the house to sell high and quickly, Linda.

    • Freckles is such a big help. He lounges out by the pool most of the day just staying out of the way. It’s a good thing since he’s our biggest cat. Haven’t weighed him in a while but I’m guessing 25 pounds? Thanks for the well wishes! 😀

      • Some cats have it made! Whoo-boy, that’s a big kitty. I used to caretake a chubby kitty (she had a tiny frame, unlike Freckles looks) at the humane society and I loved her so much. I think she was about 18-20 pounds, but she almost seemed trapped in a Siamese-size body (she was a brown/bray tabby). If my husband hadn’t been allergic, I would have adopted her. I wonder if Freckles has some Maine coon ancestors?!

  13. Good luck with your packing 🙂

  14. Good luck with your move! We met many Florida transplants in our travels around the mountains of northern GA, NC, and TN. And I can see why—beautiful area, cooler temps, friendly folks, etc. Looking forward to hearing where you end up!

  15. Paula says:

Where will you be moving, Linda?

    • To tell you the truth, Paula, we’re not entirely sure. We keep looking at North Georgia up around the Smoky Mountains. It’s so beautiful and we know we love the area. It’s just such a change. I get nervous when I think about it! But the idea of downsizing and getting rid of a mortgage is so appealing! 😀

  16. His eyes say it all – hug me!! 😉 Good luck with the house and the move – must be exciting moment 🙂 and wishing you the best..

    • Thanks, Indah! I think it’s exciting and scary. I’ve lived here longer than anywhere and I do love it here. But sometimes change is needed. It will come together at the right time. Thank you for your well wishes! 😀
