It’s Phoneography Challenge Monday for black & white again! I’ve chosen another backyard photo taken on a whim using my iPhone 5.

Lately, when I go to the photography topic in the Reader, I find myself gravitating toward the black and white. I don’t know why; it’s as though it adds more depth to the subject than color?
It’s a funny thing. I used to think all photos had to have color but now I’m liking the black & white ones as much and sometimes maybe even more!
I love the detail in this image, great job!
Thank you! 🙂
Nicely captured and good find. Happy Phoneography Monday.
Thanks, Sally!

The black and white makes the camouflage even better.

It helped that he was on the shady side of the tree! 🙂
I also like black and white photos. There’s something a bit retro about them which gives them a really fresh look.
We used to have just black & white, then went to color. Now, I like them both in different settings!
Sweet shot.
Thank you! 🙂
Absolutely stunning shot Linda! Love it! 😀 *hugs*
Thanks, Sonel! 🙂

Great shot Linda! Love the detail here-it works really well in B/W-
Thanks! 🙂
That is amazing! It looks like an etching from Victorian book on natural history.
