I went out in the backyard one day after a fairly heavy rain and just happened to run into this little fella! These were taken with my iPhone 5 and are unretouched.

Ew? 🙂
Silly girl! Don’t like snails? He was TINY! 🙂
We used to have hundreds in our backyard . . . .
Okay, now that’s different. I just had one tiny one! If I had seen hundreds, I’d have to rethink it! 🙂
Especially hearing the crunch as people walk on the patio.
Ew! Ok, I could have gone a lifetime without having that scene!
What a discovery–a tiny snail to liven up your day. I really like the way the water from the rain gives the large leaves a glossy tint, and it helps to make the snail pop. Happy Phoneography Challenge.
Thanks, Sally! He was such a tiny little thing I was almost afraid he wouldn’t show up!

OOOOOH! You took pics of a snail! You have to read the post I just posted! I discussed doing this in it. I think he might be a baby snail? He is darn cute! Love it~
Thanks, Cindy! Funny thing is I just finished reading your post before coming here! Kismet! I have no idea what kind of snail he is. I thought he was kinda cute, too, but I wouldn’t pet him! LOL
There are 2 snail post on this challenge. You win for most slimy pics 😉 Great captures you had to get real close it looks!
Thank, Carol! I haven’t seen the other one yet. I’ll have to check it out!
PS: My iPhone 5 has a pretty good zoom lens for a camera! 🙂
Amazing wonders of nature.Cheers.
Thank you for your comment! 🙂

Wow! Great shots Linda!
Thanks, Brandy! Much appreciated! 🙂
Those are beautiful and with the leaves still wet it looks like the little fellow is sliding for fun!
He was holding his own! I think I was sliding more than him! 🙂
The snails in my yard look like they live in teenie conch shells. They even crawl up the wall of the house.
Invasion of the snails! 🙂
I love the way the leaves look slimy, which fits with the snail (even though I know s/he didn’t slime them.)
